Character: Whiteness powder,Melting point 622C. It is soluble in water. It is a good Chelating agent with metal ions such as  Fe, Ca, Mg.  Alkalescency, non-corrosiveness it is inorganic surfactant.

Uses:It is used in various applications such as a for seafood,meats, poultry and pet foods. It is also used in and as a builder in and,  improving their cleansing ability.STPP is a solid compound used in a large variety of household  cleaning products, mainly as a , but also in human , , industrial cleaning processes and manufacture. STPP is widely used in regular and compact laundry and automatic dishwashing detergents (in powder, liquid, gel and/or tablet form), toilet cleaners, surface cleaners, and coffee urn cleaners. It also provides a number of chemical functions including: sequestration of "", enabling to function effectively;  dirt and prevention of deposition; of grease; and issolving-dispersing dirt particles.
